Nadar Kalvi Arakkatalai

Madurai, Nadar Mahajana Sangam making a significant contribution in education and social reforms of Tamilnadu over a century. In 1994, June 11th and 12th Nadar Mahajana Sangam 62nd Conference was held at Erode. In the Conference a bill passed to establish new Arts college in the western region for the benefits of socially and economically backward students from the districts like Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Namakkal, Salem, Karur, etc..

In the resolution of 62nd Nadar Mahajana Sangam conference, “Nadar Kalvi Arakattalai, Erode” was established in the year 1994. The great visionaries of Erode Kalvithanthai Late.K. Shanmugam and Erode Kalvithanthai Ponmalar M. Ponnusamy contributes 16 acres land in Chettiarpalayam, Muthur, Tirupur District to establish new Arts College under the trust of Erode Nadar Kalvi Arakattalai. 150 members in the trust and public made their valuable contribution to the development of the college.

Karuppannan Mariappan College is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and recognized u/s 2(f) and 12(B) of UGC act 1956. College to be accredited with ‘B’ Grade in 2022 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Presently, we are offering 9 UG, 5 PG and 7 Research Programmes.
